Partnerships

 
Over the years Raven’s have been “expert witnesses” in many partnership disputes and formations.
 
We have found that 90% of partnerships work very well, but the other 10% which don’t work out and can become very ‘vocal’ and this can give the impression that ALL partnerships are a problem.
 
We have found that communication is the key to resolving differences and it is important that no matter how small or trivial the point may seem, it is vital to deal with it on the spot at the time – otherwise it festers and small things become mountains.
 
To this end Fred Raven (Pharmacist) has produced a “Partnership Kit” which lists dozens of things that need to be talked through prior to going into a partnership.
For example – What about pharmacy sales to relatives or friends, are relatives to work in the business, if one partner works from home how is he/she to be paid, what about holidays and days off and so on.
 
In addition, the kit contains a sample partnership document which can be given to your solicitor and accountant to facilitate their drawing up the final partnership agreement.
